Anyone change their water temp sensor??

I changed mine when I put in my new motor and the new sensor comes with a new wiring connector also. The problem I have is the stock one only has 1 wire and the after market one has two. Any suggestions??

thanks.

The gauge sensor in the head only uses one wire. No reason to change the connector, is there? Did you buy the correct sensor? The temp sensor in the water pump uses two wires.

Yeah. Unless the ID at Checkers didn't know what he was doing but he said he was sure. He even said the sensor was gonna have a different connetor come with it but I'll have to change it. Only prob is that the original has 1 and the new one has 2. hmmmmm. Wondering if I should just go to the stealership now?

thanks shoe. Put together a motor from the block up......use every bolt that was taken off of it and all hoses are back where they belong. But yet only to get stuck with a temp sensor. Well coulda been worse I guess.

he prolly sold you the WP sensor. the WP sensors come with new connectors which are two prong and the head sensor should come with no new connections.
