anyone bought valve cover from ebay?

I been looking for tall valve covers and I found couple deals on ebay. The valve covers on ebay have notch for alternator clearance and the look taller than stock in the picture. One guy say that his covers measure 2 9/16" in height. Anyone bought those, what you guys think about them?

I bought a set from "chromethis" off ebay. good quality, perfect fit
didnt come with gaskets but came with new torx screw and baffles. The only problem was the PVC hose hole on the new VC's
was larger than the stock VC hole. Easy fix get a new grommet.

1msfyter,

Are you running 1.6rr, or any other biger than stock rockers. Did you reuse your old valve cover gaskets, since I already have felpro rubber ones. Where did you get a gromet?

I bought new GM gaskets $40 and the grommet was from pep boys $.99 you need a 1 1/4" grommet with a half inch center hole.

I noticed in your picture that your valve cover has a weird fixture on the oil filler hole place. What is it and where did you get it from. What about the other hole where a hose plugs in, where did yoyu get a seal.

K&N mini breather(chrome) it screws into the valve cover . The new valve cover also has a 1/2" raised screw in point. So the oil cap is flush with the valve cover. Also read my other post about the breather filter on the valve cover

I got some off eBay a while back. They look identical to those you mentioned.. They look 1000 times better than the stockers. I did have to do some clearancing for the 1.6 Pro Mags, but it's just one of those things you have to do sometimes. No biggie, easy fix.
