I ordered 2 3in 18in long bullets that i am gonna add to my true duals to quieten them down a tad. Has anyone done this? I was curious as to how much it cuts back on the sound. I have 12in long bullets on right now. I've been thinking of just removing the 12in bullets and adding the longer ones that I just bought. Even with both of the ones i have on now plus these new 18in long ones will still be loud enough. It shouldnt quieten it down to my unliking. What do you guys think?

 

How quiet did you expect them to be? When I did True duals, I used the 12inch and was actually expecting it to be louder then it is. I would just try using the bigger ones first bythemselves, and then go from there.

Thats what i've been thinking of. Just putting the 3in 18" long ones on and leave room for the 12" ones if Its not quiet enough.

Actually i thought it was quiet too when i first got them. Over time the drone and just the time of the mufflers breaking in it got louder. Right now its fine, its not really too loud for me but im just wanting to quieten it down a tad. Its not good sometimes when you are gettin on it on the streets and every eye is like from a mile away. So im just gonna shorten the time they see me to 1/2 mile hehe.

They really are actually quiet at idle. Its the mid to WOT volume i wanna change.

 

I have, but I added 2 lowbac's to my bullets, It didnt quiet it down that much, most people didnt notice untill I said something. I noticed thou... But now I took em out n put stock 98 exhaust back in

 

I run a different muffler, but when I needed to quiet mine down I used side pipes instead, just by putting one pipe into one side I could here the difference, it took away most of the drone, now I can hear my bass again.
