i just picked up a 383 stroker block,crank and pistons last night..and i'm planning on building up a le2 383 setup...what are you guys putting down with this setup? anywhere near 400?

 

Do a search but it's anywhere from 400-440rwhp.

A Properly built LE2 383 with complementing mods should make over 400rwhp without breaking a sweat. The key though is getting everything built properly. Things that should not go overlooked are check piston to valve clearence and try to obtain optimal quench, also degree the camshaft, properly adjust valves, im sure others can add to this list. Complimenting mods that you surely must have are Long Tube headers, Larger throttle body (58mm), and bigger fuel injectors. I also suggest using some kind aftermarket ignition such as MSD Pro Billet Opti, Deltec, LTCC. Also converting to OBDI if you have an OBDII car (1996-1997) seems to yield more consistant results (it helps simplify things and is easier to tune).
