Well I tried it, nothing happend, and I also pulled the two of the plugs that i could easily get to, and they were dry, could a reason the exhaust smells so stong be cause i dont have a cat?, but again the starter doesnt like turning the motor over at all, it goes about 5 revolutions, while its doing that its trying to start, and then it gets harder for the starter to turn the engine over, but still, it has never just turned the engine over like it did when the car was completely stock. I still cant figure out why its so hard for the starter to crank the engine. Thanks Paul
So let me get this right... did you try turning the crank after the motor was freshly built??? Regardless, with the spark plugs in you are working against compression and it will be VERY hard to turn the engine. If you take the plugs out it should turn fairly easily. I doubt it's a fuel problem since the car will only crank slowly. It's most likely something mechanical. If it was good a year and a half ago it may just need to be pulled, cleaned and checked for rust. Use some proper HP antiseize assembly lube and it should fire up. That's my guess, that the year and half is whats killing it.

edit: he said it would crank slowly then stop, which could EASILY be a flooded cylinder from a faulty injector.

Well, the oil smells just like fresh oil, and is clean as can be, no metal shavings or anything. Paul

Again, keep me posted
Why would it crank slowly though? Can you crank the engine without the fuel system on?? Like disconnect the coil and pull the fuse for the fuel pump (if there is one, just to disable the pump). And crank and see what happens. If it's a new starter should it crank up quickly even with fuel in the cylinder? I understand if the car is trying to start that fuel in the cylinder would prevent it from turning over but how is fuel going to prevent the starter from cranking the motor up to speed???
Thanks for all of you help, Im prolly going to try that tomorrow and then post, I dont think my nieghbors will like that starting up at 330am lol, and plus my dad is giong to bed now, Thanks a ton for your help, ill post tomorrow sometime. Paul
Yeah, the engine had been hard to turn by hand even on the engine stand, w/out head on it and everything, and the starter has never had the engine up to speed cranking it, so im not really sure why it is like that, but if anyone knows anyone in around southern ohio to take my car to before I shoot it, that would be greatly appreciated also, thanks again
