That would be quite a feat, since the heads are completely different.

Impossible. The exhaust ports are not in the same locations.

I would be easier to install big block Ford headers.
In other words. NO

i dont feel stupid thank you. i was looking at the ports in the first place and i came to the conclusion that just because the ports are a different shape... D as compared to O... it shouldnt mean that they wouldnt work. because i duno if its just me but i didnt think that different port shapes means it cant be done. youll just have extra surface on one of the two connecting plates. so no ironxcross i dont feel stupid. and thanks shoebox. i didnt actually have a set of ls1 and lt1 headers to compare the two port locations. well now that i leave this thread feeling smarter then ever so i can answer the next guys question when he stumbles upon this idea... and not give a smart alic answer.

simple questions are easily answered by a search most times. Not being an ***, just informing you how well the tool works.

The difference is not the shape of the ports, but the spacing. The Lt1 head has the middle 2 ports next to one another, whereas the LS heads have the ports evenly space. One of the advantages of the LS1 configuration is that the ports line up with each of the cylindars whereas the LT1 2 middle ports connect to the cyls at an angle. Nobody intends to call anyone "stupid". All questions are legitimate.

It's was just that if you had ever seen the headers or heads for the LT1 and the LS engines, it would be obvious that they would not be interchangable. Don't take it personally. I would hate to have to count the number of times I asked a question, that when I got the answer, I wished I had had not pushed the "submit" button so quickly.

ok. now see thats all i needed was information. it just gets annoying coming on here and looking for help and half the time you get smart alic people who have nothing better than to be complete a holes about every situation. i appreciate the people who gave me the information. and i did do a search but all that came up was about how similar the installs were. not whether it could be done. and if i really wanted to i woulda looked up the info. but i didnt have time to do so so i asked a question. again. thanks everyone i understand now that it cant work and why not.,

Maybe you're not getting what I'm really trying to say here. Take your emotions out of it for just one second. Look at the LS1 header and exhaust ports. Look at the LT1 header and exhaust ports. Think why they won't work. It would require way too much fabbing to make it happen. All I'm saying is do a little research before you make a thread, instead of making the thread anyway, have people make smart *** responses (like me) and then get mad about those smart *** responses.

Exhaust ports are in different location, and LT1 has D ports.

I have to say the siamese is the one thing I have always disliked about the SBC's. Just never made sense to me.
