Anybody tried this?

I am relocating my battery to the back of the car. Now I have an open space in the front where the battery used to be. I was thinking if I removed the radiator overflow that I could use the space for something better...

I was thinking about putting another filter on the other side, so it would be like 2 CAI's, coming together in the middle. Would it be worth it? If not anybody have any other ideas for the empty space...it just looks so bare.

Thanks guys.

You can't just remove the radiator overflow, you need it.

there should be enough room with batt removed. it would look cool, but a before and after dyno would be sweet!

how would you get the computer to recognize all the air that is coming in? In the end, even with 2 CAI setups, you would only be able to get as much air in as your MAF would allow. I guess it might look cool...but in terms of power gains, you wont see anything.

Sounds like more work than gain.

Didn't the early 80's Z28 Crossfires have a similar setup as to what you are explaining?

I know that black 93' ZL1 has that sort of intake setup. (Yes, the one with the 98+ nose - it actually was a 93.)

I think it would look cool.

Don't know about the practicality of it..........

I say go for it.

How would you get both air channels past the MAF? Mount it just before the throttle body?

speed density....anything is possible, cool idea, but unless you are flowing a ton of hp n/a I don't think you would truly benefit.

We have a winner.
Put a ice chest in that space to keep your beers cold in there before you route another useless CAI. Then you would have one heck of a "custom" setup. Would definately come in handy whenever you plan on doing a cam or whatever. Ice cold beer with-in reach. HMM, maybe I might try this

He has a 95...they didn't have speed density, unless he converts it over to a speed density...which seems like more trouble than it is worth to me.
