2 vacum issues

Alright, my '97 Z has 2 vacum probs now that the new engine is in.

#1 The upper port on the pass side of the intake (which I normally use for HVAC) registers no vacum at all.

#2 The lower port (which I use for FPR) pulls 12#'s @ idle (sorta idle, heh)

Also: I just noticed that my dumb self didnt put that metal tray back on the underside of the intake manifold. What is that for and is that having anything to do with my other probs?

12#'s seems sorta low to me so i'm gonna put another set of intake gaskets on and put that pan back on. I already have a leak somewhere near (matter of fact i think it is) the oil pressure s/u. It'll be eaier to finagle with the intake off.

Does there seem to be anything going on other than a good ole fashoned vacum leak here? Mods are pretty much fully ported heads, 2.02/1.60 valves, CC306, 1.6 RRA's, matched untake, short headers, 30lb injectors, SLP FPR, Pcmforless.com, yada yada yada.....

Should it pull more vacum with this combo?

Later!

12 inches with a CC306 is good, if it is ground to a 112LSA. You could probably advance timing a little, and you might pull one more inch or 2 out of your set-up. What rpm is your idle?
