anybody ever hear of this head??

Trick Flow Twisted Wedge for the lt1's? Not the head they have listed for sale now, but some type of head that they only made very few sets of? The intake valve is at a 13 degree angle. Supposedly they flow out of the box in the 26x intake range at .600 lift and 21x range on the exhaust at .600 lift. Just wondering if anybody else has heard of any other type of tfs head for the lt1 besides what summit is selling now?

they make them for all types of gm, ford engines. Just never heard of any specifically for the lt1. From the info I have gathered they have canted valves with the intake valve at a 13 degree angle. Right at 60 cc combustion chambers (unlike the 23 degree heads 62cc), and have alot of room for portwork.

I think they stoped making them because too many people couldn't set up the valvetrain/rocker assy's correctly. Good head though, I use the twisted wedges on both my ford's(R series on the race car). Pretty rare, and will make great numbers if you can get your hands on a set.

Re: anybody ever hear of this head??

you saw those on ebay also? They ended up going for $1500 and my friend almost got them for his B-body. If he would've bid another penny, he would've gotten them.

Anyway, I believe George Baxter had these heads on his LT1 when he ran 9.04@155

Beings how the valve angle is different would this make these heads more like ls1 heads or not?

Do they still make them for SBC's that could be converted to LT1 style, or are they not being made anymore all together?

The heads ya are talking about are their "R" heads. They make them for a SBF but not for LT1.
They can be made to flow in the 360CFM range for a Ford.

Incorrect. He was running a set of highly modified Canfield heads.

Re: anybody ever hear of this head??

Yah I saw them on ebay thought I might get them for around 1g, man was I wrong. Seemed like a pretty wild set of heads though. Does anybody on here run them?

Re: anybody ever hear of this head??

I would, but they are overkill for my setup. 23deg trick flows will be okay for my little motor in progress.
