your not winning this argument
hes doing a blown motor.
might as well go 383
check out the GP section
383 396 and 355 cranks are all the same pice
lol,

Don't need to win an arguement. Just trying to give him an option if he was doing a budget rebuild. If budget is not an issue than I would agree a Forged 383 is the way to go.

PS> I know he is doing a blower but people are putting down some good number running 355's with stock cranks.

If you have the $$ to put a blower on a stroker you should not be stingy when it comes to the crank.

Forged crank and splayed 4 bolt mains.

Callies Dragon Slayer is a good solid crank.

I have a scat 383 crank i was gonna use 6" rods and je pistons on but sold the rods and pistons.. the crank was recently inspected for cracks, and ground.. It has the specs on a card on it.. If your interested I'd let it go pretty cheap.. Its internally balanced and has weights added on.. I can send pics if interested.

does anyone happen to know how cmotorsport.com's core charge works for thier complete engines. It says, for instance, that thier LT1/4 Street Series 355 with Stage 1 heads is $4895 with core charge. So does that mean you are going to get some money back from the $4895 after you send in your old engine, or is their an extra core charge when you order the engine.

oh yea one more thing, with thier crate engines do you just remove your old and install the new one or do you have to swap out the opti and stuff like that?

I think your better off calling them.

Usually cores are included in the cost (ie no money back, it costs $xxxx + core)
