Exclamation Any way to delete A/C without actually removing anything?

Wanting to remove A/C for this summer to see if I can handle the Texas heat and see what kind of gains it is worth, but I don't want to remove everything just to put it back in later. Is there anyway I can bypass the pulley or get a dummy pulley that won't cause any friction and work without removing the compressor?

The only way that i know of is to get a A/C Delete pulley, like the one that came on the 1LE cars. I have one and it works great, but you have to remove the compressor to use it. Why cant you just turn the air off. I dont think that with the compressor off it is creating much drag on the engine that it would affect performance. Now having the compressor running is a differnent story.

When the a/c is off, the compressor is just a dead pulley. I took mine out on saturday. I love it. So much more room especially where the compressor was. I never use my a/c anyway. I think it was extremely worth removing.
