Engine temp sensor is a cheap try, goes for about $12 and easy to install. There are 2 of them, the one more likaly would be the one in the front of the engine. It has some control over the air fuel mixture.

Call me crazy, but i suspect your coil.

You need to do wires with the plugs.
How many miles on the car?

Does it do it immediately once it hits around 180 or after running that temp for awhile. Once the car is warm if you shut it off and start it back up does it run ok for a min or two. If so it might be a sensor when the car goes into open loop.

You mean closed loop, right?

Yeah, sounds like an issue with one of the sensors that is used only in closed loop like oxygen sensors, MAF sensor, that kind of thing.

ya those all sound like good ideas im planning on doing wires
when i do plugs, i curently reading the "hesitation at idle" page
well im on page 13 like 40 to go, but some of those people sound like similar prob, one guy had really good thought, about older engines and carbon buildup, no one really commented on it, but i suppose that on a engine whith 10.4 compresion carbon on pistons or valves not seating right, could cause a little problem, but im going to do wires and plugs for sure, allready has accel wires so this sucks, and miles on my car are supposed to be 102,ooo but i think guy raped me i found oil change sticker from a year ago on windsheild and it said next change 192,000 so i think guy hit the 192,000 and rolled the nine back to sell he was original owner who would know i guess,
