I've had these on my car for a couple of years now. As I see it there are pros and cons with these. I bought the chrome ones out of jegs for $389 but now I think you can get them for $359 or something like that. Anyhow:

PROS: Cheap price considering it includes a 3in. Y pipe. Chrome has held up well, 2-3 yrs. later only minor rust starting. 3/8 flanges that were perfectly straight, have had no leaking issues even after having them off once for a head gasket fix. Good power gain, saw about .25-.3 in the 1/4 and about 2-3mph. Throttle was much more responsive.

CONS: The fit is not the greatest, myself and several others had to use a dremel on the bolt holes to open them up a little bit, they tend to be a bit snug. One of the O2 sensor bungs had a little weld in the way blocking the sensor, again a couple min. with the dremel fixed that. The Ypipe is a 2 piece pipe that will need to be welded. Plug access is good on all but 1 plug is just about impossible to get without a special spark plug socket.

To sum it all up, I am very happy with mine. For the price and performance I dont think you can go wrong. The quality is pretty good too.

I have the Ceramic BBK shorty headers from Jegs. I'd say
94 CAMRO Z28 pretty much said it all. I installed them by myself, in my driveway, but I didn't have any fit problems.

I had the chrome BBk's on my z28 and I just put them on my TA, and I have to agree with 94 CAMRO Z28. The plug access for all but one plug is good, and I haven't had any problems with fitment or sealing. A word of advise though, don't use the gaskets that came with the headers. They're crummy little rubber things that are just plain terrible. Spend a little more money and buy some good Fel-Pro gaskets.

I think any header install on these cars are hard. Be prepared to use the F word a lot, smash/cut yourself up, and drink lots of beer. Invest in a pair of mechanic gloves and goggles/glasses to keep the rust/dirt out of your eyes when your getting that old Y pipe off. It will help if you plan ahead and have all the tools you will need. Also having a friend to help you out will make it a much faster process. Once I got into it myself, I thought this was the worse project ever, and it was only the first major mod I did to my car when I got it. Now looking back after cam install and head gasket fix...its really not that bad. Its very straight forward but will take some time to do.
