That is an awesome looking header. I didn't think the TPIS headers could be topped.....

i was thinking about this today as i was out porting the exhaust side of my heads. dont quote me on what im about to say but, i think it helps reversion ( when the exhaust trys to go back in the exhuast port) i would think that if you had a D shaped header i think the reversion would increase alot, with the circle shape header it gives a wall on the bottom of the port for the exhaust trying to come back in the port to hit and help stop.

if you look at some of the most of the ported exhaust ports they leave the floor untouch (not port matched) and you can see the scribe line but they take a cartrige roll and smooth any burrs off the floor.

How much did the Y-pipe cost you? Also from the pics it looks like you extended your o2 sensors, any problems with the install?

Paid 150 for the y installed..
A friend of mine extended the passenger side until I get the correct extender, the drivers side plugged in without an extender.
However, we just used the vampire clips to plug into the wires so I didn't have to cut them...

One of my welds aleady broke off on the AIR fitting on the passenger side.. So I have to plug it off now. No way am I taking that bastage out again!

I bought mine a while back but don't have them yet. I should get them sometime next week. Then will work on installing them next Saturday. I plan to have Lane make me a y-pipe and get 4 inch exhuast. I don't have away to post pics since I don't have a scanner or digital camera.

Plug access isn't that great. There isn't much difference between the Hooker LT's and these.

The weld that broke is the passenger side AIR tube where the weld is on top for the fitting...

ehh, plugs are a helleva lot easier to do with the headers than they are with the stock manifolds. I can now do all 8 plugs in under an hour. The hardest one to get is number 8 passenger side, the last one to the back . But all in all, Id rather have the headers than the stockers if I had the choice.
