any ideas on problem
Since ive bought my TA, its had a temperature problem. Radiator and WP changed by previous owner, i changed the stat to a 180* driving without stopping it has no temp problems whatsoever, stop and it does. The temp right away starts going up and when the temp starts going up the a/c stops becoming cold and then after that it wont be cold at all. It doesnt do this for about the first possibly 10 mins the car is on then after that from then it does... i have a feeling (no proof however) that i would have some outrageous EGTs... would clogged cats cause this? If not, any other ideas...? 96 TA 6 speed... only mods are skip shift and flowmaster catback.
Some extra info:
Fuel filter, Coil, Coil module, TPS, IAC are all new... it threw some clogged cat codes a while ago, but after resetting the ECM they never came back. The car used to have a starting problem where it would start and die, but the new IAC and TPS more/less solved that but its still there somewhat. Any help is much appreciated... i need some help!

I had similar problems with my daily driver. I replaced the fan relays on it and it was fine. check to see if your fan is coming on or not. if it does nto come on once your engine is thouroghly heated up, then you have problems. also, your secondary fan should coem on when you turn on the a/c.
Hmm, ill have to check on both of them, from what i can remember right now without going out and checking it the fans didnt always kick on and sometimes they came on when the car turned on and kept on etc... the fans worked kinda speratically (sp?) Hoses i should go ahead and change just to knock out something that could cause it.
