LT1 Based Engine Tech 1993-1997 LT1/LT4 Engine Related

Any Ideas????

Well about three months ago i had a intake or oring on my injector oring leak. and filled up number 8 with water.well to make a long story short i replaced both the injector o ring and intake gasket. new wires plugs ex ex. fired it up it sounded good. bleed the cooolant system out took it for a test run. about 5 mins into the ride the car makes a weird squelin noise and doesn't wanna run i looked down and the oil pressure was down alot about 15 to 20 so i quickly got it home. so it been sittin ever since just yesterday i go to start it to move it out of the way it starts right up and idles maybe just a little miss to it. no smoke oil presure is over 40. i don't get it no noises no smoke rod bearing spun? thanks for any help jack

Since you had water in a cylinder, did you bother to check the oil? Are we to assume since the intake gaskets where done, you had to change the oil or do we assume too much?

How did you figure out it was filled with water? In other words what first tipped you off? The reason I ask is I'm rebuilding my sons engine right now cause he got water in it from a storm and bent 2 connecting rods.

We assume you are guessing about the o ring.

Have you done a leak down test to see if you actually cured all the posible problems?
