Any gains from polishing intake and TB

So I'm needing to fix the pesky intake manifold leak on my car. While its off, I'm going to paint the manifold blue (with polished fins) and polish the fuel rails.

Is it a good idea to polish the runners on the intake, just to smooth them out?
I will have the time, and I just got a new Dremel for x-mas so.........

Any other ideas on what can or may need done while its out?

Your going to be there for a LONG damned time with a dremel tool. You'd see more gains if you just port match the heads with the intake.

Fair enough, looks like I will just paint the outside.

Thanks for the input.
