any direct bolt in headers for dual cat cars?

hi,
i am going to be needing some plugs and wires, and i keep putting it off, because i want to do headers at the same time,is there any direct bolt in headers?i want some thing that will bolt right up to my factory "Y" pipe, "dual cat's" and also retain all stock emission's and smog crap, basically i want to be able to drop out my manifolds, and throw in the headers, and hook everything that was hooked into my manifold's back in my headers at there original location's,i asked a rep at i think summit,if the bbk headers for the 96-97 lt1's are direct bolt in's,and he sounded like he didnt know much about what he was talking about, and said yea, yea, they are.and i dont really want to rely on that, its my everyday driver, and need to keep it up ang going, thanks for your time, and would changing my clutch at the same time help with the whole header swap,i would think so,alot more room in there, thanks for your time.

just about any "shortie" header that is listed for 96/7 will bolt up to stock ypipes...that's their design...

you could also look into MAC headers for the 96/7 that come with a ypipe that can either have cats or offroad pipes...it probably is a better designed ypipe and is ceramic coated and will connect to standard "dual cat" catbacks without messing with an "S" pipe.

I have a MAC shorty with dual cat set-up, but if you do have fun keeping the bolts to not back out later on down the road. Im going to buy long tubes and a off road Y-pipe.
