Any carb'd 383 LT1s out there...

....just for curiosities sake? I'm still deciding on whether or not to keep the FI on my recently acquired LT1. I will be installing it in a 78 Type LT Camaro. I don't want to turn this into a FI vs Carb thread, just wanted to see if there were any carb'd 383 LT1s out there, and if so, how strong of a combo it was.

I don't have one personally, but I don't think there are any weak 383's. Considering you have a nice selection of roller cams and a higher compression ratio, I'd say that makes for a pretty stout 383 in comparison to a similar Gen1 block 383. I'm getting ready to convert an LT1 to carb to go in my 72 Nova - nostalgia with a twist. I'm a few cubes shy of your build, but I'm sure yours will be a pleaser. Good luck
