Good luck with the placement of those wires with those headers. Those headers can be unforgiving sometimes. I hated them when i had them.

Hmm, They seem to be ok to me? Nice thing about the Accell wires, they fit in the stock looms. I ended up routing the passenger's side up through the motor mount though (so I didn't have to deal with the factory loom behind the alternator) and routed the driver's side in the factory locations.

One nice thing about the SLP shortys, you can install the plugs and wires before the headers. I just did a head gasket job, and when reinstalling everything, I put new plugs in, connected the wires, and then slid the headers in from the top. I didn't even have to remove the oil dip stick tube ..... Made it very nice!

Should I just replace them with some new MSD's? I have OVC wires so I need cut to length wires.
i would stick with the msd they have the lowest resistence which is what makes a better wire

I've used Taylor for years with no issues including the new engine.

Previous posts have suggested that the spark is trying to find a ground, and can do this by hitting the heat shields,or anything nearby. If the wires are too close to each other, they might cause a problem.I did the accel extreem 9000 wires, and lost performance,so I couldn't afford the Magnacores,so I did the MSG's and was very happy with them(exept for the coil wire).but I didn't use the existing wire looms,so I wrapped each wire after the opti with after market spark plug boots, sliced them to fit over the wires,so as to not have each wire next to each other.(die electric greese all over the place).Maybe it's beer time now for me.

I made wires for my car over the holidays. I decided to use MSD components. It seemed like more people had issues with Taylors vs. MSD. But, I didn't realize that Taylor made a 10.4 mm wire. Are those Thundervolt wires any better than their 8mm offerings?

I probably went way overboard on my wires. Considering that, I'm hoping they last quite a long time.

Is it very common for wires to arc to one another when they're in close proximity? It seems that some of the stock wire were right next to one another. Some of my wires are bunched together with tie straps. I'm hoping the insulation would prevent any arcing. I also ran heat shielding the full length of each wire.

My car seemed to run fine, but it's still on jack stands and hasn't been driven in quite a while.
