Went to 3 stores today, all said they had to special order the preferred Felpro 1406 header gasket Some said it would be 5 days to get it! Luckily Orileys can get it by tomorrow, just wondering if anyone knows if NAPA or others that may stock these normally in case I need another sometime being that I have 2 LTx vehicles with headers?

 

NAPA can get 'em within a day I believe.

 

Any race shop can get them prety quick, thats how I got mine.

 

is the 1406 the one that uses the inside holes? thanks you just reminded me of another thing I got to buy!

I would think it would be easy find something like that in an area that big.

AZ in town has them on the shelf...getting mine today before work

 

Went to another AZ today, none around here stock them
But the ones I ordered at Orileys should be in today.

 

I would go with a different gasket, the 1406 has huge ports and very little material to actually seal with. I installed my headers with the 1406 gaskets and ended up blowing them out between the bolt hole and the port on the #4 and 6 cylinders. I went through the proper tightening and heat cycling and used locking header bolts too. Take a look at them when they arrive and you'll see what I mean. I like Felpro, but these gaskets need smaller ports and more material near the bolt holes.
