Anti-sieze on the header bolts. Yes or No

Going to install my 1" ARP stainless bolts tonight.
Should I use a high-temp copper anti seize or not.
What should I torque these bolts to.
Thanks

hmm.. I usually anti seize anything I bolt into an aluminum head. I used anti seize on mine, but I think arp has their own moly lube that they recommend.

Not sure on the torque spec, just put them in tight. You won't be able to get a torque wrench on those bolts dude. Sorry

yes put anti seize on them before screwing them into the head, and just tighten them as much as you can with a box end wrench. After you run the car you'll have to retighten them a couple of times anyways so don't worry about what torque spec they are going to be at.

Also snug up all the bolts on the headers first before really tightening any one bolt down to prevent warping the flange.

Torque for a 3/8th bolt is usually 30lb/ft. May be a little more with the ARP's.

definately put it on them. Just remember to go back and re-tighten them later, depending on the gasket you are using.

Antisieze is good to use anytime you have 2 dissimilar metals (i.e. SS and aluminum) be attached to each other. Double check the torque spec for the header bolts; I believe it's a low number like 20 ft-lbs. You don't want to over tighten bolts going into an aluminum head...too ease to strip!

I will be using the Felpro 1406 gaskets.
Hopefully with the 1" bolts there will not be any risk of stripping out the head.
