Another roller rocker ?
I am istalling a set of 1.6 roller rockers. I have swapped the springs to the lt4 springs now I'm ready to put the rockers on. I was thinking of doing it with the car running so I have the the alternator ,etc. back on. I have the rockers in place and backed off of allen head in the poly locks. How tight does the poly locks need to be before I start the engine? I tightened them finger tight but dont want to start it till I know how tight to have them first. Any info appreciated. Then after I start the engine I tighten them till they stop clacking then turn 1/4 to 3/4 turn more (what works best?) then lock the allen heads locks. Am I on the right track?

yes you're on the right track, i would not go more than 1/4 turn after they stop clacking, 1/4 turn should be fine, i will be doing the same job this weekend, how long did it take you to swap the springs on the car, and did you use compressed air or just rotate the motor till the piston came up...
shoebox has a great how to guide on his website about adjusting roller rockers. i did the method with the engine off to get them close. then i adjusted them with the car running to get them perfect

PS: were those valve springs what you expected? and which valve seals were you missing? i couldnt tell

Jesse, the springs went well. Did one side tuesday and one yesterday. Had a extra set of hands though. I just need to adjust the rockers and i'll be set. Not sure on the seals, I just got some from the pontiac place and didnt use those seals.
