Another opti dying?!..symptoms raising questions

I've been having misfiring problems with my LT1 and today i hooked up a sun timing gun to each wire to make sure that they were all firing...my results were that every wire on the drivers side was perfect, but every wire on my passenger side had a point in it where it hesitated...to me this sounds like it points directly to the opti given that i have new wires, new plugs, heat sleeving, new coil, new coil wire....so...opti??? but why would it only be the one side??

I'll move this to "LT1/LT4 Engine Tech".

I notice you have 3 different threads in the last day related to misfires.... might be more continuity if you kept it all in one thread.... just a suggestion, but its up to you.

ok well i think i fixed the problem...i had the wires from the pass side just bunched together and run behind the alternator...so today i took the alternator off and put the wires in looms to keep them separated behind the alternator and also down more towards the opti....and now the car seems to be running great!!!...could that have been my problem??? like the wires arching and causing the misfiring...?
