another oil leak thread, I used dye now need advice

1997 camaro z28, getting oil on the front of the engine thought it was a crank seal but it has to be higher. I used that uv die today and still cant pinpoint it but ruled out crank seal. I see oil dripping from the passenger side bottom bolt of the opti. it is running from somewhere down to there. perhaps water pump shaft or opti. guess I have to do them both. is there anything I may have missed and are both seals pretty easy to do. thank you in advance. Allen

The seals are both easy to replace. Also replace the crank seal while you're in there.

You'll need to remove the water pump, opti, harmonic damper, crank hub, and timing cover to replace them...that's not exactly hard but it's a bit of work. Popping the seals in and out is the easy part.

Probably your WP seal as this is the most common one to leak. My suggestion is since you are down there and have to pull alot go ahead and do them all at once and save yourself the trouble down the road. When installing the WP seal make sure to get it right or you'll tear it and have to start all over again. Here is a cheap tool that will help you get it right:

Good luck!!!
