Another MSD Digital-6 question..

Before I start asking question...YES I did a search already!!!

Anyway...just wondering if it would be worth it for me to buy the Digital 6 ignition system. I will be building a 383 in the near future and I would like to have everything set up for high horsepower before I get the 383 done. I'm not looking to gain horsepower, but my idle SUCKS and my car is only missing at idle!!!

Also, I MIGHT be spraying a little bit after I get the 383 done (haven't decided yet). How well does this work with the optispark??? Anybody have any write-ups for the install??

Will I be okay with a factory heat-ranged spark plug, or should I get a little bit colder plug???

Thanks for the answers!!!

All right, new scoop. Compare the 300+ ignition system to the MSD digital ignition. I have a chance to buy the 300+ for 100 bucks + shipping!!! Which one is better??? Is 100 + shipping a deal not to be passed up???

Thanks

Unless your going nitrous, keep the oem ign. Spend the money on real HP.

Actually, I was thinking that I would put a small (100) shot wet kit on the 383 after it gets done, thats the main reason that I was looking into it.

I've had mine for over 3 years. Great unit with good features, but not exactly reliable. My first one lasted 2 years, second one lasted a couple months, and I'm on my 3rd one now...so far, so good. Even though it was out of warranty, MSD replaced them free of charge w/ new units. I just hope this damn one lasts!

Hmm...should I be using a colder plug than stock (with the MSD) or would the stock heat range be good enough???

Thanks
