another carbed lt1 question (distributer)

i got a line on an LT1 minus the intake and a few other misc things, i was thinking carbing it and putting it in something cool, i was just wondering if the stock cam has a distributer gear on it, i never looked when i changed mine, which is now long gone. and also, do after market cams like the cc 306 or the 503 that i have come with a dist gear on them? thanks

ALL LT1 cams have the dist. gear, that is what drives the oil pump, if you are going to run a old school dist., make sure you remove the oil pump drive from the lifter valley before installing the intake

GM makes an LT4 carb intake that has the distributor hole in the back. I'd see about adapting it, though I imagine it wouldn't be hard to adapt any SBC intake.

Any SBC intake will work.
Ya have to re drill the bolt pattern and make a plate for the thermostat(no water there anyway)If ya are not running a distributor ya need to plug that hole too.
