Another Breather Idea
With all of the different ideas, and arguements of whats a better setup going around on here I got to thinking about all that I have read and mabye have a different idea so bare with me and please let me know if this is a good idea, or bad but please back up your answer
Looking through Jegs you can get oil seperator/breathers with a nipple. My idea is to get 2 of these and fit one in each valve cover. Then I'll run a hose from the drivers side breather to a T and connect it to the passengers side breather then to a waater/oil seperator and then to the throttle body port.
My therory on this is alot of people are saying the the drivers side valve cover needs to "breath" too and having a breather in both covers should balance the pressure between them. Then the oil/water seperator would catch and oil that would get into the intake manifold and this would solve the problems with the PCV system on the LTxz motors.
I'm going to try the stock setup first and see if I get any oil in the intake since there are a few people that actually have no problems with it, but I wasn't one of them with my stock motor with 120K.

I think in the SB 2-valve cover systems, one side typically feeds fresh air into the motor, and the other pulls gasses out. With the LT1 passages in the intake, which I think is how our motors pull the gasses out, I guess both valve covers would be the fresh air feeds, so it should work fine, but I'm not 100% on that. If I'm right you would have 2 fresh air feeds, and better balanced airflow through the motor.
You need a catch can inline with the pcv valve that runs from the pcv to under the throttle body on the intake manifold too. The only time that the air would flow from the valve covers to the throttle body is under full throttle, the rest of the time it is flowing from the throttle body to the valve covers.

Basically I thought that the PCV directs oil vapors into the little holes at the end of the intake runners unlike the breather tube that goes into the TB and fills the intake with oil.

I think the fresh-air intake and breathers on both valve covers is a very good idea.
