Another 1.6 rocker question

I have a set of used GM 1.6 rockers and only 11 have poly-locks. how often would I have to adjust them If I installed the 11with the poly-locks plus the 5 without poly-locks? also, where could I get poly-locks?

You can order a set of ARP poly locks from Jegs or Summit. I'd wait until you have a complete set before you install them.

You can also order poly locks individually from ARP, but they're expensive that way. You're better off just buying a whole set.

is it directly from arp that you can buy just one? because i'm just missing 1 from the set i used on my last engine. and when you say expensive give me some kind of estimate.

I think they charged me $4.xx for the poly lock and $0.75 for the freakin' set screw that goes in the poly lock. Then they charged me shipping on top of that.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd buy a full set and sell singles to guys that lose them for $4 a piece.

aint that the truth. i always go around swap meets scouring for this one poly lock and everybody tells me to stick it when i just want one. but that is a good idea buying a set to sell individually, i havent looked very hard but when i did i couldnt find single ones online.

I couldn't find singles online either...I gave up and just called them direct. Their number is (805) 339-2200...just call them up and tell them what you need. I think it took them about three or four days to get it shipped to me, which wasn't too bad.

Another thought...if you have a local speed shop, drop by and see if they have any spares. I found out after the fact that one guy local to me had a few extras that he would have given to me for free had I stopped by his shop.
