Am I on the right track???

I just bought a 93 camaro z28 with 50,000 miles. I already changed oil, tranny oil (filter), pvc valve, fuel filter, and dif oil. Even after all of that i still get the same 13-14 miles to the gallon. I am planing on getting Taylor wires and NGK plugs, and a new O2 sensor. Where should i buy a O2 sensor and how much are they? Sould i be getting better gas mileage?? If i change pugs wires and O2 sensor and still get bad gas mileage what else should i do?? The car is a automatic with 3:23 and runs great! Any ideas thanks!

Is this in city or highway driving? How do you normally drive?

I drive mostly city. I step on it every now and then but not like everyday. I might get on it once or twice a tank.

if you are talking in traffic, thats about all youll get. in the highway they do pretty good though. I got about 220 miles (mostly city) to a tank before the motor swap but I got on it more than you.

i would check your O2 sensors, if one of them is starting to go out that would deff. affect yourr gas milliage.

I am only getting around 150-170 miles to a gallon. How often you you guys jump on the gas?? I know its hard not to! Also i dont know if this has anything to do with it but i only run regular. I think it is around 87 octane. I heard it wont hur my car but it wont run is good. Is this true??

you should always run 91 or lowest as 89 octane because the car will just run alot better and you will get a bit better gas millage, at least i have.

yes run 91 unless its an emergency, the car cannot run full spark advance on 87 and you will have poor power and fuel economy.
