Am I getting into some headaches here??

I'm just about ready to re-assemble my 1995 LT1 engine. I have a cam that I originally bought for my other car but haven't installed it yet. It is a Lazer brand cam, new, and here are the specs:

Duration at .050 222/228. Lift with 1.5 rockers is .510/.502.
This is a LT1 cam with the long pin and deep holed snout. LSA 112 deg.

I have a set of LT4 springs, but I still need retainers and locks.

I guess what I'm hoping to find out is if this cam will work ok with the rest of the engine being stock, with the exception of a CAI and a highflow cat with a flowmaster cat back muffler system.

Am I getting myself into a bunch of headaches with this setup??

youre not going to get very good results without any other mods like a stall (if auto) and gears and definately longtubes at the least. Also that cam is too much lift for the springs. Youll float a valve in a heartbeat.

Wow, too much lift? I found this spec for the LT4 kit on another forum:The lift on the "hot cam" is .525 with 1.6 rockers. The kit comes with the lt4 springs which are the same springs I have. I thought I was under that lift number.
Are the quoted specs I found wrong??

.525 with 1.6 rockers is correct. You are under that lift as long as you use 1.5 rockers.
