Wich one whould be beter for drag racing. The car is not an everyday driver its just for a weekend cruise

 

Drag racing = Steel/heavier flywheel: You want the inertia of a heavier flywheel to build up momentum.

Auto Cross = Aluminum flywheel, you want to rev faster to get back in your power band around corners.

 

Hmmm.... I think it's been demonstrated that a lighter flywheel will be better in drag racing as well. You may lose a bit off your launch capability, but you'll make up for it in the better HP through the rest of the 1/4 mile.

A lighter flywheel can be a bit annoying in daily driving since every start is a bit of a clutch-slipping exercise.
