Aluminum driveshaft or LCAs first? Your vote counts!
This is a tough choice. I think both are high priority mods but I guess the aluminum driveshaft would be my first choice. My car originally suffered from driveshaft vibrations but I got the 1LE shaft while under warranty. My concern would be that the vibrations could eventually lead to premature failure of other components and the need for expensive repairs. However, I would not expect a aluminum driveshaft to give you any significant increase in performance.

If you drag race a lot and plan on heavier duty mods in the future, an aluminum DS makes no sense. Unless you're spending $300+ for say, an LPE. That's not exactly in the same price range of the LCA's, but there again - you'd probably get more traction out of just the relocation brackets than just LCA's. I'd get the LCA's with brackets for now.
When you're ready for a good DS, don't mess around with the weak LS1 or 1LE. At least get a steel HD from Denny's ($250).
