The only reason to get this bracket is if you check your valve lash often, cleaning up the engine bay is just a bonus. $200 is worth it to me because it is a pita to take the alternator off everytime you want to take the passenger side valve cover off IMO.

Re: Alternator relocation installed pics

As I said, this will be my third year running the first one made. I have had NO slippage and the only problem I have had was the case screws on the alternator vibrated loose. I put a dab of loctite on them and have been good ever since.

That is me, but I'll keep taking the alt. off until something cheaper ever comes around if it does.

Re: Alternator relocation installed pics

i need this bracket to mount my alt down low so my manifolds can come over it for the turbo. i would use something like th espeed specialty stup but the belt is still in the way and i don't have anything to run but the alt.

Re: Alternator relocation installed pics

I can have my alternator off in about 5 min or less. I mean its only 3 bolts and two connectors. I think it would be cool to relocate it to clean up the engine bay, but for now I think 5 min of work is worth way more than 200 bucks. Just my .02.

Very intresting. That's way better than paying the rip off prices everyone else wants.

Re: Alternator relocation installed pics

I belive the plugs are the same on the 2 alternators. Actually the fan and pully spec out that same but you need the cs130 due to the mounting brackets. The stock alternator has tabs for mounting at 12 and 6 o'clock. the cs130 in the picture does not.

The factory plug is compatible with the CS130. I'm getting a custom accessory setup put together using this style alternator and it checks out ok.
