Alternator output only 14.1 volts

checked the alternator with an multimeter with the car running and it was at 14.1, drove it around for about 30mins. turned the car off and the battery was charged at 12.6. I'v always understood it should charge at 14.4 volts, what should be the least it should be? Or is 14.4 the lowest it should be? Even though it seems to be charging low, the battery was at 12.6 and that seems good.

Mine reads right at 13v most of the time. I just looked at one of my Datamaster logs and it showed 12.6v at 131 mph. I could say that was trap speed, but y'all would call and rightfully so.

14.1 is good.

Mine does the same. My old one used to put out 16v before it died last week with my March pulleys for the last 3 months. The new one hangs between 13-14v.
