Alternator noise

I've warrantied two alternators since I had my engine replaced a month ago. My mechanic didn't replace the rear L bracket on the back of the alternator and now I keep going through alternators because of bearing noise. Is this because of the bracket being missing or just bad luck?

Re: Alternator noise

There is one thats slightly bent and around seven inches long. I never used mine and have no issues. Does the alternator move some or feel very solid? There should be almost no play and the belt should be very snug. If cheap remanufactured, it is always a possibilities.

No play. Everything is tight and doesn't move.

Can you put the bracket back? I changed designs and need different bracket. Ebay sells them if you need to buy one.
