alternator brackets

alternator brackets

1994 z28 lt1 i just put my heads back on and i cant remember how the small bracket for the alternator mounts.does it go to the first header bolt then to the alternator.do i use threaded bolt and then the bracket and then a nut?thanks i just dont want to screw it up.

the little bracket made out of metal rods?

2 bolts go to the back of the alt. the end with the hole goes to a stud on the intake bolt. I think the 2nd or 3rd one back

yes but then there is a small single bracket that would mount to the other bolt on the alternator.i have the bracket that you are talking about on and that lined up good but i dont know where the small bracket goes

Is it the little L shaped one off the AC compressor?

yes it is kinds L shaped and has to flat ends.it is about five or six inches long. no i dont have a picture.

You use a bolt with a stud protruding on the first exhaust manifold bolt hole. Then attach the bracket to the stud, holding it on with a nut. The bracket bolts to the back of the alternator with a bolt.
