Early 94's used 124 amp
Late 94's used 140 amp
Check the RPO sticker on the inside of your glove box door. I have a KG9 code on the sticker of my 94 Z28.

KG9 = 140 amp
KG8 = 130 amp
KG7 = 125 amp

I can't find a code for the 124 amp. I assume it's KG7.

Pretty sure the small wire connector to the dash is the same.

Re: Alternator

I know this is an older post, but I figured I'd add this for folks who actually search for stuff. I did the 140A alternator swap on my 93 today and ran into a little snag that I didn't read about when I search originally. The lower bracket in the rear of the alt that goes to the manifold stud was too long. I used an AC Delco Alt. Maybe I got one that was an oddball, i dunno. I just shortened it, reflattened it, drilled it, and made it work. Anyone else run into this before?
