If you are getting overheated cables from high resistance, larger cables or new cables helps. Check those voltage drops like I said. Ohm's Law and Kirchoff's Voltage Law never fails. If the alternator is putting out the correct amount, it is getting lost somewhere.

i've got the 45% reduction pulley with no overdrive and it only goes down to 12.8 at idle.

it jumpes up pretty quick when it gets around 1000 though, i've never had a charging problem or anything.


but like i said before once its been running for 10 mins or so my alt doesn't feed the battery more then 13.1
get rid of the reduction pulley.. the voltage will go up during idle.

mine does the exact same freaking thing!!!! i also have the underdrive pulley... maybe thats it? i have no idea. but it bugs me so much. i just put a new alternater in last week and it is still doing it.
