Every since i did my cam in my car it has had a smoking problem. I removed all of my emissions and dont have cats. When i first start up the car after its been sitting its fine. No smoke at all. But if i drive it and WOT it smoke extremely bad out the exhaust.It only does this when it is cold and not warmed up. It is a dark colored smoke too. ALso when my car is cold, If i barely tap the gas and let off, it tries to die and wont run. While its choking and trieng to die, I will give it the gas and it smoke horribly. It sounds like it has a carb on it and its 10 degrees outside. Wont run and sounds choppy. But once my car warms up it doesnt smoke and drives great. Im thinking bad tuning and something may be wront there
Any suggestions?

 

If it runs fine at temperature, then everything is right. You shouldnt be driving it with no heat in the motor.

 

Your open loop tables probably need some tuning. Once you go into closed loop the pcm is able to make the needed adjustments, though some tuning would help also.

 

I dont understand what you mean by driving with no heat. Just like taking off or something when it is cold and i give it full throttle for a sec or two, Im not talking about racing it while its cold. Just giving it some gas it barrells out the smoke!
