I have the slp cai,ain"t sure if the filters are k&n.You can always change them if their not. It's the best looking of the bunch.

as for the hp power gains from the slp intake, horsepower tv did a whole show on a 96 impala ss with an lt1,they did a base run i forget the number, then they did a run with just an airfoil and it gave them nothing, then they did a slp cai the twin tube one, they dynoed at 8 hp at the wheels and said 2-3 more while driving, then they did a 52mm thorttle body and got 3 hp at the wheels, this was all done with stock manifolds

I have had the LPE for nearly 3 years now and love it. If I were you, I'd go the homemade route, however, if you want to purchase one, LPE is probably your best option, price and performance wise. It has a huge filter.
