Question all wet around oil filter....

What makes the oil filter and that area get WET with oil when theres a leak? Rear main? Intake? Head gaskets? Oil press sendin unit? I had the rear main done with the clutch , not even 10k miles ago and also did the intake manifold gasket with globs of rtv front n back... my friend said its wet all around the head on the drivers side and a lil wet on the pass side. can the head gaskets leak oil? I just know that if the oil filter is wet then that oil is gonna find its way to my newer clutch and we dont wanna go that route again. please help

it could either be the valve covers or the intake manifold.....oil can not leak from the heads.

my heads looks wet from oil all around them as if they were the culprit. maybe it is those valve covers, at least its a cheap fix that needs to be done either way.. I'll try that
