All Valentine One owners come inside.

Okay, I know this is a weird question, but in my 95 T/A, when I honk the horn, the V1 goes off with Laser. Everytime with out fail, honk, beeeeeep.

Just wondering if it is because it is plugged into the cig lighter and maybe the horn is on the same fuse, or if it is something with the f-body's.

You have the 007 Trans Am. Hit the horn with a civic in front of you and poof, the laser blows it away. Sorry, wish I had a V1 to help you out.

I have a Valentine1...can't say I know of that happening. My laser only goes off for laser...and the radar detector will turn off/on when I turn my ignition key..that's the only unusual thing I've noticed about it.

I've had my V-1 for several years now and had my older one upgraded to this newer version and have NEVER had that happen either on my motorcycle or in my Z !!!! very strange. I'd give them a call or send an e-mail and see if they know why. It sure shouldn't go off when it does.

It does go off b/c of the brake lights of some suv's, but I have never had it go off b/c of the horn. Sounds kinds funny to me! Jason

My horn sets off the laser on my Uniden every single time I use it.

Great to mess with friends with though.

However I would like to know of a fix for this. I got a different set of horns from from the clip that I got so I'm going to swap them out and see if it fixes the problem.

Btw, anyone know when they changed styles of horns? On my 95 theres a power wire to each seperate horn but on the clip I bought it has a crossover wire from one horn to the other and then one place to plug the power wire in.

You shouldn't be street racing anyway.

The V1 is programmed to do that, to scare the sh!it out of you when you're rolling next to a c5 and you go "beep, beep, beep".

I know it's crap of Valentine to do that to you, but it works every time, does it not?

Any way that those SUV's have laser detectors and they hit the brakes when yours go off and then yours goes off when the laser hit's it?

Mine doesn't always like high speed wipers on a wet windshield.
It sounds off regularly in sync with the wipers!

My guess is that it's a varying voltage thing: horns draw a lot of power and you could be "browning out" the V1. Or, it could be the frequency of the horn excites something in the Laser circuit.

I once hardwired a V1 to what I thought was a hot wire switched by the ignition. It was, but it was also the intermittent wiper wire. I then had intermittent wipers and intermittent V1!
