All of the sudden the car won't idle?
Above 1500 rpms, the car revs up w/o hesitation. Below 1500, the car chokes down to 4-500rpms until it catches and goes back up to 1500, or it just dies- this cycle repeats until the car dies.
Plugs are new, wires should be good (have 10k on them, never missed a beat), fuel pressure is good, opti is 3 weeks old, coil is new, ignition module is new.
Anyone have an idea? What am I missing?
EDIT: No DTC codes, but I threw both a high res and low res code last week at the same time
. Likely the opti, but need someone to remind me how possible it is for the opti to die.

Does it still have the same power throughout the rpm range? Sounds like you have a sensor going south on you and the iac is trying to compensate for it..Make sure your MAF is not letting air in or have a leak anywhere letting unmetered air into the TB..

Well, did a little testing. Unplugged the MAF and it runs fine.
But, while the MAF is plugged in it reads fine on the Scanmaster, just won't idle.
It looks like the MAF is really dirty, so I am going to try cleaning it and seeing it that helps.
I just want to thank Chris Boui for all his help and patience on my car. Thanks, Man!!!

Definately check the IAC. It's amazing how that little thing will effect you air intake. If the spintle is sticking then it could be closed when it needs to be opening. That's the easiest check I think.
Then definately check for TB leaks.
IAC is about $100 from GM and about 15 minutes work
later

Update - cleaning the MAF had no real impact. However, unplugging the MAF makes the car run fine. I will be using a different MAF this week to make sure that is the cause of my grief.
