To all with jet hot headers

have any of you used an aftermarket bolt. most say that stage 8 locking bolts are the way to go, but I want something else. the header bolts that come with the headers are 1'' long under the head of the bolt. ARP makes 3/8'' header bolts but they are only .75" long under the head of the bolt. that will leave 3/8'' to go into the head and gasket after going through the jet hot header flanage. is this enough to hold the headers on safely? I say ARP because I've heard good reviews about them and their bolts, but the only problem is that they don't make a 1'' bolt with a 3/8'' head that i am aware of. Milodon has right size bolts I'm looking for 1'' by 3/8'' but they are really cheap in price witch leads me to think that they are low in quality, and they don't have a good description on them. anybody know where I can find what I'm looking for?

Why not Stage 8's? Just curious...I'd find out what kind of bolt the cheap ones are...hell if they're a Grade 8 they'd be just ducky

have you tried browsing summit?

I don't want to go through the trouble of locks upon header bolts on this project, I've heard that 3/8" bolts are a sinch to get to and retighten if needed compared to 7/16" or allen wrench style bolts. no question of persuation beween locking and non locking bolts.

yes these were the only bolts that I found on summit.
