all i want to do is install my opti

on the back of the opti, there are 3 notches. the notch that has the extra "chunk" taken out, and doesnt look like the other 2 is for the dowel pin correct? i cant get the opti to slide back in now. ive read that it should sit flush with the timing cover and not to force it. im pissed, its cold outside, and im hungry. does anyone know a trick to get it back on, or is it just a matter of playing with it.

IT just takes time...but it will go on!

And once you get it on crank the car up before you put the waterpump and all that crap back on to make sure it's right! Good luck!

Use a black permanent marker on the outer portion of the opti hub marking the hole for the dowel and get your head up in there and look at the timing cover and mark where the pin is sitting. I used a mirror to line the two up and pushed it on. Went down flush after a couple of attempts.
