Yes, its real easy, just make sure you have some rags to catch the coolant that comes out of the hose so it doesnt leak on the opti, also the hose on the passenger side of the TB is a PITA so alot of people(including myself) just cut it

 

That's a pretty decent write-up. You can also remove the alternator bracket for better access to the clamp on the side of the TB.

 

i live in PA and i want to cut the hose... are the winters here cold enough that i should reverse it in the winter? or is it safe to cut the bastard.. i hate that passenger side hose

 

It's ok to leave it bypassed year round.

 

I live in Bucks County, near Doylestown. I did the bypass years ago and never had a problem. Maybe if you live in Alaska...

Cut the hose if you want...
