Aliging the Rolloer ROcker

Ok. I was aligning the Roller rocker (Self Align)
When Push rod stop spinning I did the half the turn; then lock the nut. After min or so. its get LOSE again.
SO I retight the new again. Car start running funny (feel less torque) and I think I forgot the lock my 3rd or 5th cause its chattering worse then desil engine.
Any inputs
Mir

If you meant that it loosened up after you did the half turn (and you had not started your car), that is normal. The lifter bleeds down. Don't tighten it further because you are just adding more preload. You will get them too tight and it will run bad. If you think you messed up your adjustment, back the nut off and start over.

Zero lash is when the pushrod begins to have drag, not when it stops spinning. There is some info on valve adjustment on my Tech Page if you want to read it.

Rob/Shoebox I use the method#2. Easy for my pigeon head.
I gota question. If I redo it, wouldn't it I add more preload to lifter ?
PS. Very nice write up

"Redo" meaning to get the crank to the position you need, then back off the nut until there is excess lash, give the lifter a few moments to fully decompress, readjust to zero lash and then add 1/2 turn preload. It does not mean just tighten them down again.

Arrow

I think one of Roller Rocker landed on the tip side way. It sorta made side of roller tip crushed the side of it. DO I need to replace the whole RR with new one ?
Or that Stuck roller pin head is ok ?
