Alarm question

I bought a 94z28 convertible with what I think is a factory alarm. I cannot start the car with hitting the unlock button on the keyless enrty thing. Is there a way to get rid of this crap?

So let me get this straight. You are trying to start your car with the unlock button? If that's what you are asking, it ain't gonna happen!!!!

lmao
no no no. I put the key in and try to start the car and nothing happens. I have to hit the unlock on the keyless remote and disable the alarm. After i hit the unlock button the alarm chirps and then i can turn the key to start it. It gets annoying.

Do you disable the alarm before you get in the car? If you do, does the alarm go off when you put the key in to start the car?

I have never set the alarm since I have owned the car. I just don't know why I have to hit the unlock on keyless every damn time i want to start the car. However the alarm does not go off when i try to start it without hitting the unlock button.

Everytime you lock your car, you enable the alarm system automatically and there is nothing you can do about it. So, everytime before you get in the car you have to disable the alarm by pressing the unlock button.

I have never locked the car. I bought it like 1 month ago and basically put it right into storage for the winter.
