AIR Tube Caps?

Started removing the AIR on my T/A last night. What do you guys use to cap off the fittings on the headers? My Kooks don't have AIR or EGR, but they aren't going on the car yet. Just wondering what you guys use to cap off the fittings on the headers. The headers are Hooker Supercomps if that matters.

Thanks,
Brian

Re: AIR Tube Caps?

1/2" Pipe threaded plug from Homo-Depot.

It's either 1/2" or 5/8", I forget. I had to buy a coupler there to hook it up, and its 1/2" Pipe thread on one side, and 5/8" Flare on the AIR side I believe. Dont quote me on it though.

But yea, Homo-Depot definatly will have them in their plumbing section.

Re: AIR Tube Caps?

I took the AIR system fitting from the manifold to Home Depot, and was able to screw it in some "sample" fittings they had in the plumbing dept. right there on the wall... I then snagged two corresponding male components and was in "bidness"

That's what I'm going to end up doing tomorrow. I was just lazy and wanted to see if anyone knew the correct size

That might be for stock manifolds. I'm going to need a cap of some sort.

Re: AIR Tube Caps?

When ya find out what size it is, post it up on here for everyone ... Will save a little bit of time.

Your capping your headers right? Not manifolds. What brand headers? Although I would think they probably are all the same?

Re: AIR Tube Caps?

I actually brought one of my stock exhaust manifolds into Menards and started testing caps until i found one that worked, then i went outside and popped the hood to make sure it fit my pacesetters.

Sounds ghetto, but hey, it works.
